First day of 365

My 365 project can be found at: 365 jours

First day!  We'll see how it goes...  I need to update this more often.

I also ordered a new lens today.  "Dreamy Diana"!  I'm pretty pumped for the chance to take "retro-esque" photos.

I'm also going to take a class at Henry's since I'm still such a noob!  No shame!

Merry Christmas!

Sorry it's been so long!  My external hard drive (aka where I keep all my photos) has crashed and I'm in the midst of figuring out how on earth to make it come back to life.

In the mean time, I have a couple shots.  I got my new lens (sigma 70-300mm) and a new external flash (sigma) and here's what I took the first couple of days.  I'm still trying to figure out how the flash works and I pretty much have decided I'm going to take some photography classes.  I can come up with pretty shots, but I have no idea what F or ISO or any of that stuff means!  The truth comes out.  =)

I promise I'll update sooner rather than later.  I'll be starting a photo a day in the new year.

Fall Fabulousness

This the original...  I played around with some editing and got the following results:

Cottage photos

More shots taken at the cottage!  No editing done... Truly love shooting the outdoors.

So far behind...

Major computer and/or external hard drive issues over the summer.  Here are some of my favourites from my trip to Calgary.  For more, please visit Meaghan LS Photography on facebook.

Flowers

I went out into the yard to try the "flower" setting on the camera.  I took a number of photos and these were the three I liked best, though I have to admit I was quite disappointed by majority of the shots.  The first I like because the berry looks like it has legs.  The second one I don't so much love for the actual picture, but the texture of the things within it. In the third, I love that all of the grass and leaf part of the marigold is so out of focus.
